Lynn Boone Memorial Scholarship Program

While the HR Symposium serves as a valuable educational and networking forum, it further advances the development of the Human Resources profession through sponsorship of The Lynn Boone Memorial Scholarship program.  To date, a total of over $208,000 has been awarded to deserving students pursuing HR-related degrees.  $29,000 was awarded in 2009 alone.

Scholarships are available to graduate and undergraduate students enrolled in Human Resource degree programs as well as HR professionals enrolled in MBA programs with the objective of advancing in the HR field.  Each scholarship can be up to $5,000 and will be awarded at the discretion of the Symposium Scholarship Committee.    

Lynn Boone was one of the early members of the HR Symposium Steering Committee, served as its chairperson, and later became a member of Human Resources, Inc.’s Board of Directors.  Lynn's distinguished career included roles as Intel’s Corporate Staffing Manager, Lee Hecht Harrison’s Vice President of Client Relations and Cadence Design Systems’ Senior Staffing Manager.

It was during this time Lynn took ill and ultimately left her legacy.
